Rock Brigade Magazine – Ed. 182 (September/2001)

Impressive, absolutely impressive! Beyond The Black Horizon is one of the best demos of the year! The demo CD booklet is so professional that you won’t find any difference to any major label band’s booklet. The recording is spectacular, impeccable, a fact that is valued by the great talent of the musicians. In fact, you only realize that it is a demo because the group itself informs you of this in its release. Otherwise, you’d swear that this is a big, established band releasing their new work. To give you an idea, even the band’s website has this ultra-professional feel. Now, let’s get to the sound. Heavy metal of the highest level, very well written songs performed by those who mastering the matter. Listen to “Blinded” with your eyes closed and you’ll swear Iron Maiden from the Powerslave’s phase is playing live in your room. Ah, tell us the truth, this isn’t really a demo, is it?!? Watch out, Bruce Dickinson!!!

Comando Rock – Ed. 2 (October/2003)

DISHARMONIC FIELDS
Beyond The Black Horizon

DISHARMONIC FIELDS
Beyond The Black Horizon
Independent – Brazil
05 tracks – 27’59”
The South of the country, more than ever, is becoming an industry for good bands. And now the state of Paraná presents us with another one that is certainly a revelation on the national scene, Disharmonic Fields. With a line very focused on Melodic Metal from the late 80s, this band has great songs and compositions that will be more than stuck in your head from the first listen. The opening theme, which gives the band its name, begins in great style and everything that follows is also very well crafted, such as the track “Sad Fading Man”. The only drawback was the mixing, which made the recording a bit sharp, but nothing that could compromise the reputation of this band which can be pointed out as one of this year’s revelations. If you like well-done Heavy Metal, don’t waste time and look for this CD now!
